Julie has over thirty-five years of hair dressing, beauty and business experience. After several years of hard work, building up her salon, staff and clientele, she has a reputable and established name for herself and her salon. Having won 'Salon off the year’ for the third time since mid-2015, Serenity Hair and Beauty is undoubtedly one of the best salons in Hastings.

Julie now focuses her time on operations and management, leaving treatments and hairdressing to her capable and fully trained staff.

Mark has been a hairdresser since 1983 and has spent the last 28 years working in London for an award winning leading international hairdressing brand. He holds the prestigious L’Oréal colour degree and enjoys creating the total look for a client and embraces a challenge. He is a good listener and believes the secret of good hair is working with each clients individual needs, and is very passionate about his craft and believes that great service is key. Mark has achieved huge amounts in his career including highlights to date:

• L'Oréal colour trophy London finalist
• Sapphire team of the year finalist
• Managing big successful teams and salons in London
• Finalist Salon manager of the year

Mark joined the Serenity in 2019. He is really enjoying being part of the team, living and working in Hastings. Mark is one of our colour specialist and if your after any of the below services he's definitely your man to go to.

He really enjoys colour changes and corrections, it really gets his brain going! But that’s not all Mark is very talented in all aspects of hairdressing and can work he’s magic with all cutting and styling.

Abbie started her training in mid-2011 and has been with us since late 2012 building up her career from Training Assistant to a fully qualified Stylist in late 2014. Over the years of being with us Abbie has extended her knowledge by continuously training to be the best she possibly can, with receiving multiple L'Oreal Diplomas in colour/cutting, NAS Bleach specialist & Creative vivid colour Diploma, 6 system hair extension certification and Health & Hygiene certification.

Abbie can do most things in hairdressing but if you're after any of these specific services then Abbie is your girl:

• all hair cuts

Between 2020 - 2023 Abbie became a member of Label.M session hair styling team working backstage for London fashion week, which in her own words “has been the highlight of her career so far to date.

Lia joined serenity in 2016 to finish her hair apprenticeship and has been a passionate hairdresser ever since 2018. Progressing from a Graduate Stylist to now Creative Stylist here at the Salon throughout her time here she has been on courses such as:

• Bleach Specialist
• Barbering course
• Online/in salon L'Oréal Professional colour
• London Fashion Week Audition

Within the years of 2020 and 2023 Lia became a part of the Label.M session styling team and went backstage at London fashion week doing hair for the models! (This was one of the proudest moments in her career so far)

Lia specialises in Balayage! She loves the challenge and that each one is never the same. Come down to see her if you're wanting your unique look!

Ellinor is our Senior Beauty Therapist and has been part of the Team at Serenity since 2014. Ellinor is Level 2 Beauty Therapy and Level 3 Spa Therapy Qualified and since starting her career at Serenity has progressed and gained many other qualifications within the Beauty Industry. Ellinor is very passionate about broadening her knowledge and skills and making her clients feel pampered whilst providing the best experience she can.

Ellinor can do all beauty services at Serenity and enjoys all aspects of her career but especially finds a lot of pleasure in:

• Elemis Facials (which are her ultimate favourite treatments)
• Removing knots, tensions and stresses in a bespoke Deep Tissue Massage
• Beautiful fresh Manicures / Pedicures

Kim has been doing beauty treatments since 2011 and has worked in many Spas and Clinics across East Sussex such as Rowhill Grange Utopia Spa, The Grand Hotel and ProSkin MediSpa. Kim is Level 3 trained and has progressed and gained many other qualifications within the Beauty/Spa and Aesthetics Industry. Kim is very passionate about the Aesthetics industry, broadening her knowledge and skills to be able to provide the highest standards possible to her clients. Kim is able to do most treatments but her favourites are result driven treatments such as:

• Bespoke facial and massage treatments
• Ear piercing
• Creating beautiful brows and lashes
• Transforming hands and feet with OPI Polish & Gel Polish

Rachel started her apprenticeship with serenity in April 2021, after lots of hard work and determination Rachel has achieved her goal of getting a distinction in her level 2 hairdressing diploma and Is now helping clients feel and look good when leaving her chair.

She loves learning new tips and tricks to add to her skillset such as:

• Bouncy Blow drying
• Occasion styling

Rachel loves all aspects of hair but is passionate about colour services and is eager to learn more about the colour world in the future.

Beth started her hair journey with us in mid 2021 as she showed a keen interest for the creativity involved in the hair industry. She loves to see the transformation, not only of the hair but how uplifting this can be for a person and their confidence levels. Beth enjoys all aspects of hairdressing but her favourite so far is getting hands on with different aspects of styling, alongside using the kerastase range as it leaves the hair with a luxurious feel and also smells amazing. Beth looks forward to her future in the hairdressing industry and can't wait to further her skill set and boost her career by making clients feel happy and beautiful at the same time.

Gracie joined our Serenity team in August 2023 to be an assistant and to start her career in hairdressing with an apprenticeship. One of Gracie's favorite things in salon to do is give our clients a great shampoo and head massage at the basin area providing the most relaxing experience she can. In her own words, Gracie says "I see hairdressing as an art and love watching the stylist's transform someone's hair whether it's colour, cutting or styling". Gracie is really looking forward to starting out her career in hairdressing and hopes to make a great hair Stylist in the future.
